San Diego Mesa College Art Gallery presents  ‘Exquisite Corpse’ Steamroller Printmaking. Under the guidance of master printmaker Chris Lahti, witness the creation of giant 6’x 2’ fabric prints produced on-site using a steamroller. This year’s project, inspired by the Surrealist tradition of Exquisite Corpse, features local artists collaboratively carving sections of a body—head, torso, pelvis, and feet—into wood reliefs. These fragments will be inked, assembled, and pressed into fabric to create fantastical, surreal figures. Visitors can engage with the art-making process by observing the printing and even trying their hand at carving or inking wooden blocks. The resulting large-scale prints will be displayed around the event area, alongside past works from previous events.
